I am an experienced Counselling Psychologist with over 10 years of experience offering counselling and and relationship counselling in Kensington, West London.
I am registered as a Counselling Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the organisation that regulates psychology in the UK. I am also chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS), which is the gold standard of practice for British psychologists. I abide by the code of ethics and standards of practice of both organisations. You can locate my registration details by clicking on the above links.
Before founding Kensington Counselling and Relationships in Mind, I worked for a number of years in the NHS with the full spectrum of needs in primary, secondary and tertiary care settings with both outpatients and inpatients, individuals, groups, and families.
In addition to my doctoral training, I hold a number of post graduate qualifications including:
An MSc in the theory of psychoanalysis,
An MSc in work psychology.
A qualification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
I have been trained and practiced in all three dominant therapy models: Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), humanistic, and psychodynamic or psychoanalytic therapy. I specialize in the latter; there’s now compelling evidence (2010) that what therapists do that is helpful comes mainly from this framework.
My blog offers information and free resources on individual and relationship well being.
